“As a child, my father always played mental math games with me. It is during these early childhood years of my life, I developed a strong passion for numbers. I attained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pure Mathematics from the University of Calgary and subsequent to that, I obtained the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation. After graduating from the University, I joined the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) where I worked for 20 years in various departments and roles; including the tax management and audit roles. Throughout my work at the CRA, I gained in-depth knowledge on both the Income Tax Act (ITA) and the Excise Tax Act (ETA), with superior experience in both Corporate (T2) and Personal (T1) taxes, tax audits, tax compliance, and tax enforcement governance.”

“Having had a very successful career at the CRA, I wanted to challenge myself further. I always admired my parents as successful business owners; it was time to follow in their footsteps. In 2019, I launched my own CPA accounting and tax firm. Working at the CRA had provided me with unmatched tax expertise, experience, and knowledge, differentiating me from other CPAs providing similar services.

I specialize in Canadian Tax Legislations and Compliance related to personal, corporate, trust and partnership tax returns. I serve small to medium enterprises in taxation, tax planning and compliance in accordance with Canadian tax law. I work with clients to help minimize taxes, and provide expert advice on complex tax and GST matters. I also provide support for CRA audits, using my unique-insider perspective. I have a diverse client base, coming from various industries such as real-estate, automotive, oil field services, restaurants, financial and retail. I am very passionate about my work, and I always provide excellent service to my clients.

I remain engaged in continuous professional development and learning, always wanting to improve and grow. Through continuous professional development, I have ascertained the payroll designations of Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) and Certified Payroll Manager (CPM); to provide superior payroll services to my valued clients. Currently, I am pursuing the Chartered Business Valuation (CBV) designation with the CICBV Institute.

Along with being a businesswoman, I am a wife and a mother, and in my spare time I love spending time with my family and doing outdoor activities.”
